Urgent Foster Home Needed!

Who do we save? When the shelter is full and we have room to only rescue one rabbit, who do we save? Which rabbits life is more important and worth saving over another? It’s one of the most difficult decisions rabbit rescue organizations like ours face. Tonight, this is the tough decision we face as we are out of room.

We want to save them all but we can only do that with your help. Are you willing to help us save a rabbits life? Will you open your heart and your home to a bunny in need? If you had to choose only one rabbit to save from being euthanized which one would you save? Fostering saves rabbits lives.

Right now the Bradshaw Animal Shelter is over full of rabbits, Guinea pigs, cats, dogs, chickens and other animals. There are 9 spaces for rabbits and guinea pigs to share. That’s it.

Tonight, there is a rabbit in urgent need of a foster home. He was found in an industrial complex near an active airport runway (the sort used only for UPS/FedEx/DHL planes) . He must have been hiding under a truck because he has spots of oil on his head and back that smell of motor oil and diesel.

This rabbit is very each to handle. Other then the oil spots on his head, he is very clean. It’s hard to believe he would travel miles from his home to head towards a airport runway.

He was hunched up when a rabbit volunteer found him in a shelter cage. Only 4 small poops and no pee. He is in Gastrointestinal Stasis, which as most indoor rabbit owners know, is deadly. He is likely extremely dehydrated and suffering from heat exhaustion, in addition to starving.  Learn More about GI Stasis the Silent Killer here http://www.friendsofunwantedrabbits.org/rabbit-care/gastrointestinal-stasis/

He has an appointment scheduled in the morning to see a Certified Exotic Veterinarian. Baci (Bachee, Italian for kiss) has received sub-q Fluids, baby gas-x, and syringe feeding.

If you are willing to open your heart and your home to foster Baci, please contact us ASAP at teamfur@gmail.com.
