  1. Lollypop is an adorable Rabbit! She has a very pretty coat from the pictures. My daughter and I are going to start breeding rabbits next year and so I just wanted to know, is she Sprayed yet?

Lollipop is not spayed yet as she is too young but she will be spayed in another two months. 85% of female rabbits that are not spayed get ovarian or uterine cancer. There are so many rabbits that are dying in shelters that need loving homes, have you considered providing a home to a shelter rabbit as opposed to breeding a rabbit? The gestation period is only 30 days and the day the Mom gives birth she can get pregnant again. It is very easy for a breeding situation to get out of hand. This is one reason why so many rabbits end up at shelters and end up being euthanized because a breeding situation gets out of hand; the owner feels overwhelmed and doesn’t know what to do what with all of the babies. Here are a couple of excellent articles that I encourage you to read before you consider breeding http://www.bio.miami.edu/hare/breeding and http://www.rabbit.org/adoption/why-not-to-breed.html
