Peter was left in a small wire cage outside in the cold. No one ever took him out to play or interact with him. He had severe urine scald from sitting in his urine which caused the fur on his leg to fall off. He was fed junk food pellets (pellets with nuts, seeds, and dried sugary fruit) and no Timothy hay or veggies. This caused him to become so over weight for his tiny body that he was unable to clean himself. His feet had sore hocks from sitting on wire. He had a huge lump, when we rescued, him on his stomach. We took him to the Vet who discovered during surgery that the excess skin from becoming obese caused a fold in his skin that trapped dried feces which stuck to his fur and tummy. The Vet had to remove the excess skin and give Peter a tummy tuck.
Peter has recovered and the fur is growing back on his leg. He is such a grateful bunny to his foster Mom who rescued him from a horrid situation. Peter is part Holland lop. He is so loving and absolutely loves attention.
This doll is available for adoption to a loving forever indoor home. Peter gets very attached to people and will bond with you once he knows that you are safe and trusting. He doesn’t like to be picked up but he will sit right by your side to be pet and jump in your lap for love.
